The nervous system is the most important part of your body because it controls all other organs and tissues. It has three parts:

• The most important one is your brain, which works like your body´s computer. Every single part of your body is run by living messages that come from this computer.
• Your spinal cord grows from cells at the base of your brain, and extends down into your body. It is a continuation of your brain and carries its vital information into your body.
• Your spinal nerves then grow off your spinal cord.  They branch out to carry information from your body´s computer to all other parts.
